In honor of a newly formed partnership with the Canada Arizona Business Council (CABC) designed to stimulate trilateral travel and investment between Canada, Arizona and Mexico, Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort will host a special celebration of Canada Day on July 1 with traditional Canadian cuisine, after-dinner fireworks display, and exclusive discount for guests bearing a Canadian ID.

Las Palomas is the first luxury resort to partner with CABC focused on tourism. The association is natural for the resort given the notable presence and contributions of Canadian investors and residents in Puerto Peñasco. Arizona is similarly home to over 1,500 Canadian operations in the state, with 150+ Arizona companies operating in Canada. These strong ties of commerce represent $3.6 billion in trade, which CABC strives to facilitate and grow.

Canada Day commemorates the anniversary of the Constitution Act, which consolidated three territories into the single nation of Canada in 1867. It also marks the beginning of Canada History Week, encouraging citizen to learn more about their nation by visiting museums, monuments, and memorials.
